i-LIMB Hand™
Mary Free Bed is now trial fitting the i-LIMB™ Hand, the most advanced bionic hand available. The i-LIMB Hand is a first-to-market prosthetic device with five individually powered digits that look and act like a real human hand.
The i-LIMB Hand features a motor in each finger so that each finger can move independently. The thumb also rotates through 90 degrees, just like a real human thumb. This means, with the i-LIMB Hand, you can now control the grabbing function of your hand with the muscles in your arm. The i-Limb hand will allow you to do things that you couldn't do before, such as grip a glass without breaking it, turn a key, grip a business card and use a dial pad on a telephone or ATM.
