Mobile Seating Services
OrthoSEAT's mobile unit is a self-contained trailer equipped with construction and upholstery areas to allow custom seating to happen at off-site locations. The unit is operated five days a week by OrthoSEAT staff. Generally, a therapist and a technician staff the mobile team.
Services
- Mobility evaluations, with limited options for trial equipment
- Seating fabrication or construction of seating components
- Final fitting and client education for mobility equipment and seating components use
- Modifications to previous OrthoSEAT products to accommodate changes in physical skills or growth
Clients and Settings Served
Children or adults of various diagnoses living in or attending:
- School settings where input from school staff and family members is necessary for optimal functional outcomes
- Medical facilities, including hospitals, nursing homes, and community mental health facilities
- Group homes or adult foster care facilities
- Individual homes when a client is too medically fragile to be transported safely
